Rivers of Living Water Faith Church Youth Department is designed to meet the needs of children ages three through twelve and young adults ages thirteen through seventeen. Each child is taught the word of God at his or her level of understanding thus preparing the child to make a commitment to things of God early on. It is the primary goal of our Youth to teach and instill in the youth the seven principles of abundant living as taught by our Pastor. The principles are Salvation, Authority of the Believer, Faith, Prayer, the Holy Sprite, Healing, and Prosperity.
We have established significant goals for each youth that will give them a strong spiritual foundation for days to come. Our goals are that each youth be proficient in the following areas.
- Memorize and recite
- Know doctrinal explanation of and scripture reference for salvation, healing, prayer, prosperity and faith
- Know the details of Bible stories
- Know some pertinent facts about how God used people of color in the Bible
- Leading another person into salvation
It is our responsibility to create an environment for our youth to hear God's voice. Our youth will know God's purpose for their lives, the power he has in their lives and the praise that they are to offer up to the Lord for all that he is doing in and through their lives.
Our youth are priority to us. Thus, it is our responsibility to instill in them Godly principles and a Biblical foundation for their future. We must teach our youth the things of God and train them to share Jesus with others.
